Liner Installation Technician
Department: Field Operations
Reports To: Field Supervisor / Project Superintendent
Position Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Travel: Required — Projects throughout the Western U.S.

As a Liner Installation Technician at Evergreen Environmental Lining Company, you’ll be part of a hands-on team installing critical environmental protection systems — like landfill liners, pond covers, and mining containment projects.

No two days are the same, but every day, you'll be making a difference.

What You’ll Do:
Install Geosynthetics: Install geomembranes (HDPE, LLDPE), geotextiles, geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs), and other geosynthetic materials according to project drawings and specifications.
Operate Equipment: Use wedge welders, extrusion welders, and other specialty tools (we’ll train you if you’re new).
Handle Materials: Perform material handling activities such as unloading, staging, cutting, positioning, and securing liners.
Support Quality Control: Assist with trial seams, field seam testing, destructive and non-destructive testing as required.
Stay Safe: Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and jobsite protocols — safety is non-negotiable here.
Travel: Work on different projects across the region (lodging and per diem provided).
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and site management regarding project progress and site conditions.
Maintain accurate daily reports and field logs as required.
Participate in all required training programs and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bonus Points If You Have:
Previous liner installation or construction experience
Experience operating seaming/welding equipment
OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to get it after hire)
MSHA 48 (or willingness to get it after hire)

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay range: $20–$30/hour depending on experience

Requirements

Required:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (including weekends and overnight stays)

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather (heat, cold, rain, wind)

  • Basic math and measurement skills

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel hubs

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred:

  • Experience in geosynthetics installation, construction labor, welding, or related fields

  • Familiarity with operating wedge welders or extrusion welders

  • OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • CPR/First Aid certification

  • MSHA 48 certification (or willingness to obtain)
